Airman First Class Pratt was a military part of the USAF Security Forces. He has been killed in action in February 2009 by the Ten Rings terrorist group forces when a military convoy who escorted Tony Stark was ambushed in the Kunar Province, Afghanistan.
Character's evolution
After the demonstration of the Jericho missile near the Bagram Air Base, Tony Stark decides to get inside a USAF Security Forces Humvee in which are three airmen; Jimmy, Pratt and Ramirez. Stark feels uncomfortable as the two male airmen are intimidated by his presence. Stark manages to lighten the atmosphere. Pratt then asks Stark if he actually dated the last year's twelve Maxim cover models. Stark answers that March and he had a scheduling conflit, but fortunately, December were actually twins. Eventually, Jimmy asks for a picture with Stark. He gives his camera to Pratt who tries to focus.
Yet at the very moment Pratt is about to take the picture, the front Humvee exploses. the convoy is attacked. Pratt orders Jimmy to stay with Stark as he exites the car. Yet as he fires back, he is fatally wounded.
Notes
- Pratt's rank is seen on his fatigues' sleeves (Iron Man).
- His nationality is deduced as he is part of the US Air Force.
- "Pratt" name is not quoted in the dialogues. It only appears in the ending credits.
