J. Michael Riva (June 28, 1948 – June 7, 2012)[1] was an American production designer. He served as production designer in Iron Man and Iron Man 2.
Biography
Riva has worked as production designer in the 1985 TV series Amazing Stories (with Shane Patrick Mahan in the crew), the 2000 film Charlie's Angels (with Jonathan Taylor, Eileen Weisinger, Keith Woulard in the crew), the 2003 film Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle (with Thomas Robinson Harper, Jonathan Taylor in the crew), the 2005 films Zathura: A Space Adventure (with Rebecca Bentjen, Louis D'Esposito, Jon Favreau, Thomas Robinson Harper, Dan Lebental, Shane Patrick Mahan, Kent Seki, Laura Jean Shannon in the crew) and Stealth (with Sarah Halley Finn, Randi Hiller in the crew), the 2006 film The Pursuit of Happyness (with Louis D'Esposito, Thomas Robinson Harper in the crew), the 2007 film Spider-Man 3 (with Keith Woulard as cast, and Avi Arad, Kevin Feige, Eric N. Heffron, Michael J. Moore, Jonathan Taylor in the crew), and the 2012 film The Amazing Spider-Man (with Avi Arad, Kevin Feige, Shane Patrick Mahan in the crew). He died following some complications after a stroke during the filming of the 2012 film Django Unchained.
