Character's evolution
After Skye gave Phil Coulson Mike Peterson's driving license, Coulson tells the team further information regarding Peterson, his condition, and the fact that his wife left him after being laid off from his factory after an accident.
When Mike Peterson gets angry because of the answers given by the doctor of the Centipede project, he throws the phone which hits the picture of Peterson and his ex-wife hugging each other. The picture's glass shatters on the floor.
