The angry man is the reason of the explosion of the Los Angeles Centipede lab in 2013.
Biography
The man has been recruited by Raina to be part of the Centipede project. He has been implanted with a device that gave him enhanced strength, yet the compound mixed up with his head and he lost his mind. He came back to the Los Angeles Centipede lab and exploded there (AOS: "The Bridge", "Pilot").
Character's evolution
Agent Jemma Simmons extracts a burned piece of a device inside the Los Angeles Centipede lab to analyze it. When recovering the video and audio footage of the lab explosion, Coulson's team can see the reason of the explosion; Extremis that became unstable and overheated the man's body.
